FAQ

Questions about the game, prices and advertising.

These answers explain how Frame a price should be interpreted, why values are indicative, how country comparisons work and how monetisation is disclosed. Use them before treating a game reference as a current shop price.

Is Frame a price a shopping comparison website?

No. Frame a price is a price guessing game and consumer education project. It uses indicative reference prices to make the game playable. It does not track live retailer offers, delivery fees, coupon codes or stock availability.

Why can the price shown in the game differ from a store price?

Retail prices change with promotions, taxes, exchange rates, delivery costs, stock levels, product generations and regional positioning. The game uses approximate values so visitors can practise estimating realistic price ranges, not exact checkout totals.

Why are several countries included?

The same product category can feel very different depending on VAT or sales tax, import costs, local distribution, warranty expectations and currency movement. Comparing countries makes the guessing exercise more informative than a single local price.

How should I use the two sliders?

Use the minimum and maximum sliders as a confidence interval. If you are unsure, make a wider bracket; if you think you know the product well, narrow the bracket. Harder difficulties allow smaller ranges and award more points.

Are the product names and images endorsements?

No. Product names, categories and images are used to make each round understandable. They do not mean that Frame a price recommends a specific product, brand, retailer or purchase decision.

Does the site use advertising or affiliate links?

The site may display advertising and may include affiliate links, including Amazon search links related to products shown during a game. Affiliate links may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to visitors.

Do I need an account to play?

No account is required. The game does not ask for a password, payment card or postal address. It runs directly in the browser.

How can I report an outdated price or content issue?

Use the contact page and include the product name, country, the issue you noticed and, if possible, a public reference. Corrections are reviewed manually so the game stays clear and fair.
